EtsyInspired #120 - Muffa

Happy New Year!!!!!!!

It's the very first EtsyInspired Challenge of 2011. What a great way to start of the brand new year, and have we got the cutest shop ever for you to check out and be inspired by: MUFFA! I mean, really, how cute are these??

I chose, however, to use this totally darling little gnome as my inspiration.

Ashley made an offhand comment about wishing she had a gnome stamp and I thought "gee, so do I!" Good thing I opened up the package with my newest Lizzie Anne Designs Mix kit - because there was the perfect stamp! I went ahead and used LAD's weekly sketch challenge #156, too, because sketches are fun.

There are two prizes this week. The one I'm coveting is this teensy little goldfish from Muffa. The other comes from this week's sponsor, Dude Time Doodles. They're offering a prize package of their new release. To enter, just create any project inspired by something in the Muffa Etsy shop. It doesn't have to be a paper crafted project! Post your direct link to the EIC blog no later than Noon Pacific time on Friday, January 7. If you post your creation to a public gallery, please use the challenge keyword EIC120.

Hop on over to see what the rest of the DT has to show today. Thanks for stopping by!!

Exams Make Me Crazy!

When you take an accelerated course, you end up taking a final exam at the same time as a midterm. It's making me feel a little crazier than usual, that's for sure! Throw in a little stomach virus and things have gotten even more fun. Yes, I'm stretching the definition of "fun" today.

I made these two cards a little bit ago. They were both for challenges. The first one, I linked up via SCS. It was last week's Etsy Inspired, plus CAS75, which was to use dry embossing. All images on both cards are from Lizzie Anne Designs.
The second one, for LAD's weekly sketch challenge #144, I just totally spaced on. Oops. That's okay. I still like the card. I had a lot of fun with the distress ink technique I used for the background and I got to play with some of the crinkle ribbon that I hand-dyed.
Mom, if you're reading today, pretend to be surprised when this arrives in the mail!
